David's first programme was shortly after the station opened (as Radio Enfield) in August 1970. David is the only presenter who has broadcast from every studio at the 6 different sites the studio has occupied in Chase Farm over the last 53 years. In that time, he has used 78's, vinyl, cassettes, minidiscs, cartridges (for jingles) and now computer software to present his programmes. He must have played thousands of requests for patients in North London hospitals over that time - and probably My Way by Frank Sinatra more than any other! His "Favourite Song" changes quite frequently! He was proud to receive a Lifetime Achievement award from Enfield Council - one of the first to be presented by the Council - in 2022.
