Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

On Tuesday 22nd of May between 1 and 3pm Join John Smeeton when Rebecca Lowe comes in to update us on the progress and talks about Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice a community-based hospice service providing support for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London and Hertsmere. In 2017 we looked after 234 families (up from 189 in 2017), provided 3,850 hours of specialist care and organised 43 Family Activities events. However we need to provide more care for more children, and that is why we are building the Ark, the first children’s hospice building in North and Central London. It will be a home-from-home for seriously unwell children, where they will be given the time and space to be children, and not just patients. Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice recently celebrated a build milestone for the Ark – the erection of our oak frame for the central atrium. The atrium of The Ark will be a communal area with natural light, windows looking out onto the nature reserve and a warm welcoming environment. It will feature a café and seating areas where parents can meet each other for a chat over a coffee and slice of cake’
